The New I.R.I.S. combination component, short for "Impact Resistant Insert System", is our way of meeting the growing needs of hardcore hunters who demand a component system that takes their arrows to the next level of strength and lethality. This two piece component system consists of a modified high-tensile strength stainless steel half-out post, in conjunction with a high strength/weight ratio 7075 aluminum impact sleeve; when combined together, offer unmatched arrow durability. At its core, the durable stainless steel post creates structural integrity from within, keeping your field points and broadheads spinning straight; even after the hardest impacts. Topping off the system, the impact sleeve fortifies the end of your carbon arrow; shielding it from damage and blow-outs on hard impacts into dense bone, rocks, and debris. When the leading end of your arrow is compromised, this halts an arrow's penetration in its tracks. That is why we designed the I.R.I.S. to withstand severe impacts; punch through the obstruction; and keep your arrow advancing forward. Utilizing high tensile strength stainless steel where it counts; and shaving weight with high strength/weight ratio 7075 aluminum where it's sufficient; these components paired together give you the freedom to choose between chasing speed or extreme FOC.
